Top 5 Reasons to Order Early for Valentine’s

Don't wait until the last minute to order your Valentine's flowers and gifts. Learn why you should order early!

We know that every year you SAY you're going to plan Valentine's early (or maybe you're a really honest person), but it never happens. So this year, make it your New Year's resolution to get your gifting out of the way so you can get back to the game. Who wants to spend football Sunday worrying about which flowers to buy anyway?

If you need a little extra motivation, here are five reasons you should order your Valentine's flowers and gifts ASAP.

1. Get the best deals

Just like Black Friday has the biggest sales for Christmas, you can also find the best bargains on Valentine's flowers and gifts if you plan ahead. Generally speaking, the closer you get to Feb. 14, the more money you're going to spend on flowers. So if you're looking save a little coin, buy early. You can save up to 40% on Valentine’s flowers here!

2. Keep your options open

Shopping early also means having the largest selection of items before things sell out. So make sure you order early — especially if you're looking for a more unique gift. In addition, some gifts take longer than others to ship (i.e. personalized gifts, such as a personalized teddy bear with their name on it), so getting your order in early will ensure it arrives in time.

3. Get back to the game

Don't be that guy who remembers Valentine's during the big game and rushes to buy a gift the weekend before. Order your flowers, chocolates, stuffed animals, and all those goodies your S.O. will swoon over, and then relax knowing it's all out of the way. As an added bonus, you can even brag to your friends about how you're all finished shopping while they're still stressing!

4. No more rushing

While same day flower delivery is always an option, ordering early gives you time to find the perfect gift and plan how you're going to spend your day (and night) together. We know you have a lot of decisions to make, from what type of flower to get to which type of chocolates she likes, so give yourself lots of time to subtly find answers to those questions (because you get bonus points if you don't ask flat out).

5. Everyone else is doing it

Per the National Retail Federation, Americans spent $2.6 billion flowers for Valentine’s last year, and according to market research company Numerator, half of the money spent on all Valentine's gifts occurred between Feb. 11 and 14. The point we're making is, why limit the holiday to just one day? Schedule the flowers to be delivered early, before the holiday. That will give the flowers time to really bloom (especially flowers that arrive in bud form), become more fragrant, and be enjoyed at the peak of freshness on the actual holiday.
